I have always been fascinated by the effects of light on water. Riding a mountain bike on Ventura Pier and looking down from a viewpoint with nothing visible except sunset colors reflected on the ocean surface inspired me to paint this August sunset image. The whole painting is constructed of  paint brush marks 2 inches long and ¼ of an inch wide.
