The 30 MPH northwest wind blowing sea mist high into the air created a vibrant yellow filter effect that spread shimmering shades of sunset colors everywhere, even in the deepest shadows. The atmosphere was bathed in a unified light giving it life and movement. Making this painting was an experiment with color to convey the nuances of light in nature and to capture the fleeting quality of light that enveloped the entire sunset scene.
